Creo Parametric does not store Windchill login-credentials
Creo does not store Windchill login-credentials or randomly the credentials for their Windchill login is forgotten even thou the "Save my login" option is checked.
Sometimes Creo remembers the password for longer times, not possible to see a pattern in this.
Where is the credentials file/cache stored and what is it named?
This issue have been spotted with all minor releases for Creo 8.0.
When selecting to save credentials in Creo for a particular website, the Creo embedded browser passes credential detail to Microsoft/Windows WININET, which stores credential points in Windows Credential Management
When the browser attempts to access a website again after being restarted, Microsoft/Windows WININET requests and passes saved credential detail from Windows Credential Management back through WININET to the embedded browser and prepopulates the dialog with the saved credential detail
This needs to check with the Windows system administrator about Windows Credential Management not passing saved credentials to the embedded browser
1. Remove password in Windows Credential Manager (password data marked as “local”)]
2. Restart computer
3. Do not start Creo,
4. Go to Windows Credential Manager,
5. The password is available again but marked as “enterprise” (most probably, in this case, the password itself is empty, but saved)
6. Remove the “enterprise” password
7. Start Creo and log in with “remember password” checked
This solution is confirmed by the customer.
