Import to Workspace fails
Dear support team,
our colleague has done a part and a drawing within our local file system on drive Q:
Now, when he has done: “import to workspace” and wants to upload it within windchill,
he gets the error message: Content Upload failed because of invalid response from the server.
This is information from PTC about Broadcast Configuration:
The configuration of the replica site must be broadcast from the main site to the replica site. You must broadcast the configuration when you update any of the following:
•The rules for content and scheduling
•The values in the wt.properties files
The security schemes on both main and replica servers permit anonymous logging on. If the security schemes are configured correctly, the replica site can receive the requests from the main site and, after verification, respond to the requests. If the security schemes are not configured correctly, the replica may not identify the main requests.
You must broadcast configuration information after you manually make changes to the vault configuration (for example, if you updated folders or vaults).
The issue was probably caused by some change that wasn't broadcast from the main site to the replica site.You broadcast configuration information from the Vault Configuration window:
Utilities > File Server Administration > Vault Configuration. In the Vault Configuration window, select a file server and then select File > Broadcast Configuration.To set a preferred file server site for downloads or as a destination of uploads, use the following procedure:
1.Navigate to Quick Links > My Settings > Preferences.
2.Find the Preferred File Server preference, which is located in the Vaulting and Replication category.
Click the set preference icon .
3.Select Master site name from the Value drop-down list, and click OK.
