Import excel spread sheet to update WTPart throws error

Description

• Unable to import importable spreadsheet to Windchill

• Spreadsheet exported with function "Export importable spreadsheet"

Error recieved: 

            java.text.ParseExeption: xx.xx
            Nested exception is java.text.ParseException: xx.xx

Cause

• Browser language is set to other than English, example English (United States) [en-us]

• Region and Language settings are also set to other than English
  

• Using dot (.) or comma (,) as decimal separator does not change the behavior​

Resolution

​​Works to specification as Microsoft Excel is not recording the symbol displayed in the file for General cells, Comma (,) is displayed but Dot (.) is stored

Ability to Export and Import from spreadsheet with fields in Text format instead of General to properly interpret decimal separator for some locales and languages introduced in Windchill PDMLink 11.0 M020 CPS05 and 11.0 M030

Workaround

• Switch the browser language to English (United States) [en-us] for example
  

• Or switch the cell including the decimal value to Text type and re-enter the value
